Content at Scale AI Detector

An entry in the Humanizer Wiki directory of AI-text detectors.

Strengths

  • Free to use up to a 2,500-character per-check limit
  • Provides a passage-level human/AI breakdown
  • Bundled with a broader content-generation platform

Limitations

  • Original Content at Scale branding and URL were retired in the BrandWell rebrand
  • Independent reviews report inconsistent detection results
  • Detection is unreliable on paraphrased or humanized text

Overview

Content at Scale launched its free AI detector as a companion to its AI writing platform. In 2024 the company rebranded to BrandWell, and the detector was carried over under the new name rather than shut down. The original Content at Scale branding and detector URL were retired, and the tool now sits at BrandWell’s site. It reports an overall human-likelihood score with a color-coded, passage-level breakdown and remains free up to a 2,500-character per-check limit, aimed mainly at marketers and content teams.

Accuracy in practice

Rather than a single headline accuracy percentage, the tool presents a “human content score” and a breakdown of which passages read as AI. Independent reviews from 2024 onward describe inconsistent results, with cases of the detector both missing AI-generated text and flagging human-written passages. Performance is weakest on paraphrased or humanized content and on short inputs. As with any detector, the output is probabilistic and should not be treated as proof.

Summary

The Content at Scale detector still exists, but under the BrandWell brand following the 2024 rename; anyone looking for the original tool will find it there. It is free within a 2,500-character limit, and its scores are estimates whose reliability reviewers have found uneven.
